On the Balkans, there is a legend about lilac. Somehow the powerful deity has brought down its anger on the human race and forced to flow rains days and nights, without stopping even for a moment. The rivers and lakes were overflowed, and a terrible flood started, washing off everything on its way. The frightened people rushed to the mountains, hoping to escape on tops. But the water rose all above and above, and the highest mountain was just about to disappear under the water.

And then a young and beautiful shepherd decided to sacrifice itself to the angered god. With entreaty about compassion, he rushed in the abyss. And God took pity, the rain stopped, the water level lower, and the young man’s relatives were rescued. And God spared him too.
